I recently noticed that the light that illuminates the Warmer/colder wheel between the middle vents is no longer lit up. How do I fix it? few hard bangs on the dash didn't do it. Haha

The page doesn't say anything about the control between the middle vents.

Mine has never worked - only had the car for just under a month anyway - I didn't even know it was supposed to be lit, another job on the to-do list :)

I honestly don't remember them being lit on the E34, and it's not on my '95 right now, but then the dots don't really look like they'd light up anyway, I'll have to check. But then I'm also missing a light on one window switch in back and probably the sunroof switch as well. Isn't the sunroof switch supposed to be lit? I thought it was. Heck, it is on my E28 535is!

OK, had a look - no light fitting in the centre heat control on my e34 - the temp is also operated by a bowden cable...

Sunroof switch lit? - yep...
Rear door window switches lit - nope, oh well it's a nice day and I'm already outside with the laptop by the car, toolkit handy - lets have a look...

I think BMW dropped the light in the center control with the 93 model year.

Correct, not all models were lit. I vaguely remember this discussion came up quite awhile ago. It was "Q" who explained it:

I think the discussions at the time also further evolved into whether or not the gear shift (automatics) indictor strip was backlit or not.
