Is there a standard size that e34 hubs use for 17" alloys, or does it depend on the alloy manufacturer? I've transplanted the 17" momo alloys from my now defunct backup 540, and need to get hold of some rings.

How do you have a 'defunct backup 540i'?
I hope it's not a manual lol...
The hubcentric rings I think are fit to size - each manufacturers wheels might be a little different.

Hub rings are for wheels that have a larger hub bore.... it doesn't matter what size the rims are.
What year 540 did they come from?

Happend to have two 540s, one a 94 the other a 93 (both autos), scrapped the 94 but not before salvaging as mush as possible. The engine was shot in the 94 so equiped the 93 with its momo alloys amongst other things, hence maybe the need for rings.

That depends on the hub size of the rim and the hub size of your car (e34 = ~72.56mm). I believe Momo makes different hub sizes so you need to check first.

No, there seems to be a couple of different sizes.
