Hello people, just wondering where the best place is to order new parts such as the head gasket, big end bearings shells etc?
Kind regards.

www.bmaparts.com is great. I happily pay more than the hundreds of slightly cheaper but MUCH dodgier vendors out there. BMA get it right mostly, know their stuff and are fast and very communicative. M-car parts will cost you no matter what, tho (except where they are common to production models)

In the UK, have a look at:
http://www.gsfcarparts.com
http://www.eurocarparts.com
It's worth visiting a gsf depot because the guys seem to know their stuff, wheras the ecp guys tend to be a bit on the thick side... however I could have just had a bad experience with em. GSF doesnt quite stock the same range of parts as ECP, but the depots are almost always within 2 miles of each other.

Buying parts in the US is great - better web sites, better service and usually far cheaper. What's not so good is they usually charge a ton of cash for the shipping and then you get hit for import tax and VAT when it lands in the UK.
GSF and Euro Car Parts are usually selling repro stuff, not all of it much good. I doubt they sell many M5 engine parts either.
If you are wanting orginal BMW parts at better prices, maybe speak to www.c3bmw.co.uk and ask them to quote you on some stuff

Do parts from the USA work out to be more expensive?
Any sites I can try?
I ordered a Schrick cam from Autowerks (USA) a while back, they messed me about a little but the product was good (288/288 E30 325i Sport).
Kind regards.
