If I let the pump fill my tank until it clicks off, then I leak a lot of gas, fast. The leaking stops once it gets below 80 litres.
Now I have heard people talk about an overflow tank for the gas tank - is it possible that mine has gone bad, or that there is not seal in the connection, or something along those lines? Has anyone else had this problem?

Pull the inspection cover in the trunk when you fill it up. It's a few screws, phillips head if I recall. Fill the tank and look for a leak there.

Check for rust perforation on the fuel filler neck.
