As it turns out I actually live in Holland, Michigan where Auto Sports Unlimited is located. I was not aware that they were a certified ZF rebuilder. That should make the decision easier.

Heard some horror stories about these guys. Bottom line from Kirk Koeller was for non ZF buy a factory rebuilt. I didn't listen, got a local ACREA certified builder to do mine, and after having it pulled and redone by them 5 times, gave up and bought a factory rebuilt. Guess what, finally works right.

man that sux, you pays your monies and you takes your choices. Personally I would spend the extra to get one from Kirts joint cause thats ALL they work on. There is low negitive feedback about that link but looking through them there is a bunch of retracted negetives. Who wants to pay to do this twice or even do this a few times? Count me out!

so far so good. runs good, shifts smooth. i really need to get a new throttle position switch & dinan tranny chip though. kirt is hard to get on the phone, but he is very knowledgable with these tranny's.
after all my research i feel i made the best decision.

Stay away from phoenix-remanufactured-transmissions. They are stupid, dumb and plain rude. They sent me a transmission from hell...then ended up having to rebuild my original transmission because they had no other replacements...Their mistake and f**k up cost me about $500 in additional cost and time

DO NOT buy a trans from PRT. My ZF for my Jag has gone back to them twice, thr first time it lasted 3 days, the second time it never made it out of the shop! Once you have a problem they WILL blow you off. They should be recieving my small claims court summons any day now.
