valve cover gasket job

I'm going to do the valve cover job this weekend. Already have all the gaskets and loctite 598 sealer.

While the covers are off are there any items to check. Like cams condition, etc. anything specific to M60B40.

While you have it apart you may as well do a quick check - I did when I replaced my valve cover gasket...
