won't start, but I can fix that
Shogun
Gale
Here I come!
Congrats! Hope it doesn't take much to sort it out. I helped Mike Oswald put a 5-spd in his 735iL so we're more than happy to give you tips if you ever need help.
Cheers,

The ol' girl is in pretty good shape
Sat in a garage for most of it's life, just got a dent in one door and some leather wear.

Well friggin' done.
I am envious, and jealous.
I am keeping my eyes open for a m-30 anyway.
I wouldn't mind getting a halfway decent 7 series with it though
Good luck
There are serveral 750's on flea-bay.uk.
Some even reasonably priced for condition
One is a ex-embassay car with bullet-proof double glazing for 10k USD
(5k GBP)
I bet that gets 10 to the gallon. Too rarified a game for me, and replacement parts are too expensive. But it does appeal to me
Have fun with your new toy

Oh well,
The deal fell through.....I couldn't come up with the cash....
The lady who was getting rid of the 735 changed her mind after I told her that the car was in good shape and that I would repair it.
Now she is planning on fixing it:(
Reminds me of the people who come charging out of the house to chase off garbage pickers. WTF, one minute it's worthless the next a prized possession.
She'll fix it alright and leave some mechanic holding the tab.

this one time, i threw out a toaster that kept catching on fire. 2 hours later, some dude stopped his car in front of my house, grabbed the toaster, and made a break for it. i wish him the best of luck.

That's why I didn't offer to fix it for her...I was afraid I'd get stuck when she realizes how much it costs to fix & she'll rethink it again.

Maybe someone else outbid you? Call her in a week and see if she's changed her mind.
