Courtesy light switch

The 525i is giving momma spurious door ajar warnings with the courtesy lights coming and going while she's driving. I thought to check the door switches, but can't find them. Where do I look?

Or is this an issue with the interior lights control module -- similar to LKM issues affecting the headlights?

when i had my first bmw i spent almost a day looking for that.,i gave up and called my S.A. at the stealer hehehe no forums yet back in the days... :D

Sorry to resurect an old thread like this but my wife is having the same problems as Karls mother. I tried to take the switch off but the way it's attached I'm going to have to disassemble the door piller interior to reinstall it. Has anybody found a way around this problem and does anybody know where I can find a replacemt?
