That GVWR is not the weight of your car. 4500 lbs is heavy duty pickup truck weight.

No, The "GVWR 4575 lbs" indicates the total weight of the car at maximum capacity with the driver, passengers and cargo.

It should be in the manual. the e34's weight around ~3800lbs

But to find out how balanced your car is, weigh it with both axles on the scale and then drive foward and read the rear only weight. Subtract the rear weight from the total weight and you have the front axle weight.

Then it is a simple matter of dividing the front axle weight by the total weight to see what percentage of the total is on the front axle.

Example:

Total weight: 3600 lbs
Rear axle wt: -1600 lbs
Front axle wt: 2000 lbs

2000/3600=56% front, 44% rear weight balance

I thin kwhat he meant is that the GVWR is the maximum weight, including the car's weight itself, as well as fluids, passengers, and cargo that it is rated to carry. :D
