obc displaying incorrect info

With regards to MPG. I know from past experience that it's never really spot on, but I also know that I'm not getting 50mpg in a 535i ... because I calculated it myself and it's around 21.

Is there a way I can fix this or do I need a new obc?

select mpg then hit the s/r button it will reset it the same with mph

Alright, I guess I should update:
so I unlcked the obc and tried to increase the mpg coefficient ... thing is: you can't go higher than 1200. I left it at 1200 and it's still showing 26-27mpg ... I KNOW I'm not getting that. Oh well ... hopeless I guess lol

there is always quite a bit "in reserve".I run my tank from full to empty fill it right up and dont fill up again until the light is on.I ussually put in 62 litres sometimes 65 or 68,only twice have i put in 72 and its supposed to be a 80 l tank...cant explain the mpg on the obc tho.whats the range etc showing tourque?

ok it has gone crazy today completely ... on a almost empty tank it's showing a range reading of 259 miles.

would a new obc solve my issues?

I doubt it, the obc in the 535i etc is technically a dumb terminal!

It's pulling its readings straight out of your ECU...

MPG? LOLL i gave up on that after my car ended up getting 19 mpg with the EAT chip installed, i haven't gotten above 23 since, i don't get how the chips saves gas its making me use more. Oh well i do drive with a lead foot tho. At what rpm range do you guys drive at? im mostly in the 2800-3800 range. sometimes i push it to 4500 or so. Although she stills pulls to the redline when she has to, what a car.

It's pulling its readings straight out of your ECU...hm. So the ECU is doing all the calculations for it? I guess it's useless for me to swap in a spare obc I have?

I hope its pulling to redline! I got double your miles almost, and she does daily redline exercises :D

at least yours doesn't start with 97 miles, and when you drive for 40 miles, show you that you have 135 left :( lol
