Engine hunts and occastionally stalls on start up.

it only happens when i first start the car, on cold and hot days...its been like this for a long time now..i just give it a little gas(steady at 2k RPM) for a few seconds, that fixes the problem...what could it be? i cleaned the afm, icv, and throttle body...
