I have had a set of the semi metallic pads on my 535i for a number of 3+ years. Getting extraordinary mileage out of these things, what is the rest of the group seeing on wear for these. Driving is mixed city/hwy.

Don't use the brakes at all, your pads will last forever. Just downshift any time you need to stop.
My QS's have been great for half a year so far. They're making a tad bit of noise when they're really heated up... but I can handle noise when I'm having no dust.

That's the way I got my last set of pads to last 100,000 miles! When I changed them the wear indicator light had still not come on, they were close, though...
Stayed with Jurid pads, very quiet, (never a peep out of them) a bit dusty but I don't really care, my wheels clean off easily.:)

But dont forget you have to wear a flat cap or a trilby if you are driving like that:)

I would have to say my mileage is way over 50,000 miles. Rotors do not have a ridge and pads still have a ton of material left on them. Am I just easy on the brakes or am I loosing brake performance due to aged pads ?
