e36 325i substitue transmission into a 525 e34

does anyone know if I can use the 92' 325i 5L30e GM transmission on my 525i e34? They are the same code # is there any differences?

the only external difference is you need to swap the flange on the back of the tranny to the one from the e34, different size flex coupler. the only other consideration is what computer generation it is, certain years are ok to swap, i THINK 91-93 will jive, and later then that is different, the codes on the side don't mean everything, some will work that have different codes and computers, i think they changed computer #'s about every 6 months or better so that is not much of a tell
