Quick question: Does disconnecting the battery reset the OBC?

I've done the "shogun reset" on my previous e34 530. Does disconnecting the battery FOR 48 HOURS (which I did while I was re-conditioning all of my seats this weekend on my "new" e34 525i). reset the computer? I can't see how the capacitors could maintain a charge for this long, but I wanted some clarification. Thanks in advance!

more then a second or so loss of power will kill everything that can be killed in the whole car, the airbag holds a small charge for a while so it can deploy in a extreme situation but other then that obd I cars douche everything as soon as power is lost
