Can he be charged now that the info is in the public domain? In the UK he would probably face numerous charges now that he's gone public.

He races in the gumball race every year..... I think everyone that races in it should be taken out a shot... they killed someone last year.

Hi Repent. Care to expand on that? Is there a limitation on the time of committing a speeding (or whatever) offense and the Police acting on it in the USA?

The fact that he has posted the story and has video of the event would lead to prosecution in the UK if it was deemed to be "in the public interest", which loosly translates into if you're not a Police Officer "testing" his car (http://www.carkeys.co.uk/news/2005/may/19/6145.asp) then you are a member of the "public" and members of the public are fair game (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/09/24/nspeed124.xml)

there's a statute of limitations on all of those speeding offenses. I read a 7 page article on this story earlier today, and it mentions that no talk of his trip was made until all of them had expired.

Most criminal acts have a statue of limitations as well, with the notable exception of murder.

My understanding is 30mph over the limit and you are banned. So if a policeman does 3x30 over the limit what does he get? To be a sergeant?
