Seat rail Alignment???

one of the cable on the driver seat bottom up/down motor was not working so when you try to raise or lower the seat it was only working on the right side of the seat.
I removed the seat shortened the cable jacket according to the procedure described on this forum and now is working but the seat is raised on the right side .
how do I align it so both sides are on the same level????
remove the right cable from the motor and raise the other side, or these cables move independently even if they are connected to the same motor???

disconnect one side and run the seat as far as it will go on that cable and then swap cables and run the other cable as far as it will go in the same direction, now you can connect the other side and the seat should be in sync
