There's a lot of things can do this...dirty ICV, vacuum leak(massive), dirty throttle body, just needs a tune up, AFM flap is binding on crap, hole in the intake boot combined with bad motor mounts = un metered air.

If the car is in good shape, fair mileage and this is the only problem, then I'd chance it and perform some calculatus eliminatous and fix the motor.

the car looks to be in very good shape, paint in last year, engine rebuilt 3 years ago, e38 wheels, its 6 hours from me, its been sitting, ran before parked and now has the dieing problem
