that would be a pretty rare car....e34 touring - rare ish,e34 540 manual rare,let alone 540 touring in manual.In fact after checking Stepans site there were only 62 ECE rhd six speeds ever made

I saw this one as well! I can't help thinking this is too good to be true especially with that mileage?!! Unless the guy doesn't know what he's selling but it sounds like he does, its got to be worth at least 1k more than that, there have been 3 540i touring autos on ebay with similar mileage selling for around £2500 (which admittedly is on the high side - e34s must be in demand this time of year!!).
I looked for ages for one of these, I only found one but the body was shot so I settled for an auto - now I'm itching for a conversion.

Maybe see if he will part ex on a saloon 540/6 ? :D I was sooo tempted.Had it not been for me enjoying 40 mpg at the mo, I had a vision of me back with V8 power. How good would this car be for a LeMans visit - sleep in the back and then head to the Ring for a weekend.
540/6 saloon is great. 540/6 wagon is better.
