Why is it that virtually every forum on the Internet eventually spawns a gun thread? I cringed when I saw this, because I've no doubt it'll turn into the same old political rants and dick-size comparisons that plague every off-topic gun thread.
I've got nothing against guns and owned a few when I lived in Canada, but I come here for bimmers, not guns. If I wanna gab about guns, there are gun forums.

Nice guns mate, though what's the underfolder one with the AMD-65 muzzle brake? Is it an AK63D? Or a custom build?

I worked at Springfield Armory for a few years building rifles and pistols, from start to finnish, also shot every gun springfield ever made. From my experience they are some nice shooting guns but kinda pricey....

you can root around on will's site and see some of the stuff i build a couple nights a week http://www.redstick-firearms.com/

i never understood what niche the .38 super in a 1911 was supposed to fill when it only topped a regular 1911 by two rounds. if they were looking for power, the broomhandle mauser already existed and was auto.

but a BH mauser is ugly as **** and they already had a 38 auto in the system, a 38 super is to 38 auto as 38 special is to 357 mag, a 38 super would shoot through the old car bodys where the 45 acp would make a dent, packaging it in a colt frame made it easy for people who had been packing a 45 for years to switch guns
shooting bowling pins really gives you insight into how much ass a round packs, especially when the pins get heavy with bullets and lumpy, 9mm and 38 special are pretty much the same, then you get 40 s&w with my 357 sig would be between this and the next level, next group is kinda hard to determine the exact power order with 357 mag, 38 super, 10mm and 45 acp, bullet size and powder charge varies the performance a noticeable amount but these are general observations

Amen to that, speaking as one who has seen the wrong end of an AK and spent some time recovering, lets keep it about BMW`s.

for about 6-8 months after katrina my 31 went on like underwear and socks, i even did light guard duty at a buddys gun counter because things were completely insane for a couple months when all of the new orleans **** hit baton rouge, you couldn't ****ing find a gun or ammo anywhere if it went bang it sold, and when you did the nics hot line for form 4473 was jammed, some people waited 6 or more hours for the back round check call to go through

but a BH mauser is ugly as **** and
i want to know why americans are so racist towards nazzys......
i don't think that the things are all that nice to look at, but i feel obligated to buy one since i have a bunch of bh mauser stripper clips sitting around here from the cz-52. those commies are a bunch of oblivious clowns. the ammo in question was made in yugoslavia in the 1970s (when they were fully aware of how the yugo ammo would split even a tt-33), yet they put the aforementioned ammo on strippers that could ONLY fit a fragile bh mauser. that, and a ppsh. and mr. delta elite. and a hakim.

i don't have a problem wid em it just looks like something that fell off a tractor, i think i've seen a few in old organized crime fighting footage/pictures, but the gubment ain't gonna issue something like that and it they did it would go over like a turd in the punch bowl with the old cops that probably fought in wwI

I'm keeping mine close...we had some Katrina detritus swept up into TX and, unfortunately, much of it stayed :(

our law enforcement had a pretty good idea what the score was and it didn't get too outta hand, the mayor and btr police chief pretty much said on local tv knock it the **** off in just about those words, the only way it would of been better is if harry lee (police chief and emperor of jefferson parish in new orleans) was in charge in baton rouge, jeff parish was pretty much the only part of NO that didn't go completely ape **** when the city went into the shitter, the criminals knew better, chinese guy that looked (died from cancer a month or so ago) like jack sue from barny miller and didn't take **** off anybody, i think they invented the term suicide by cop in new orleans

I am quite interested in firearms, military history and such- but I could never promote what/if I owned & or possibly carried - particularly advertising these facts on an internet forum.
Springfield has made/improved upon some wonderful weapons, but I'm even more impressed with kimber custom 1911s.I've got big, dutch, long-finger hands, so the 1911 frame is akward for me. I prefer the larger frame such as the USP/C, and I'm always marvelling at an "M21" m1a.
I am in love with the Kar98k, the Wilson combat 1911, as well as the benelli m3/m4 shotguns or the good 'ol 870 tac. The issue M16a4 or for some "AR15"a4" is suitable, but I just cannot get comfortable with the 5.56. I definitely prefer something with a bit more punch.
