I browsed thru ebay last night looking for some HID kits. I've come across a few that seem to be of decent/good quality. What do you guys think? Anyone have any experience with these kits?

Seems prices are getting cheaper and cheaper for HID's. I remember when this tech first came out, it would cost thousands.
Most kits these days have a decent amount of reliability.

I am really tempted by these, are they easy to fit (I know its claimed but has anyone got any experience?) They also seem like a good price.
The 1st link looks best but they are the most expensive, the second link looks like a good compromise and with a 2yr warranty although whether thats actually worth anything is another question!
The third link are 3x as bright with the 1st claiming 6x, nothing listed in the 2nd link.
I thought the higher the 'K' rating the brighter the light, is this not how it works?

I just looked on this chart as well, I thought the low and high beams were H1 as well:

The K rating is the effective temperature of the bulb, in kelvins. A higher temperature will have a bluer cast to the light. But given that human eyes are most sensitive to green light, a very high (e.g. 10,000K +) bulb will probably be less effective at lighting the road, though its blue light would also be very striking.

e34 group is the ****. All kind of write ups, mod walk thrus and pictorials there.
the E34 subforum is a great resource.
Most (not all) of the bf.c 3 series and OT forums are ass, populated with ignorant teenie bopper self congratulating ricers.

Just bought a kit:

Will let you know how it goes. Amazing bargain for such an upgrade, how much do manufacturers charge for this?!!
Take the third one. Looks like the brand I'm reselling, and I try not to sell crap :) With these prices, they are nearly disposable.
