Are they an upgrade for 530i brakes (I know the rears are) and would they fit under a 15" wheel?

Yes, they are an upgrade for the 530i brakes - they are 6mm "thicker", to allow more air to ventilate through the brake rotors.

This means you're far less likely to warp the front rotors, which has been a problem in the E34's I've owned over the years...

And yes, they came from the factory behind 15" wheels on the E34 540's.

Might take these off your hands. Will have to ask about it tomorrow morning. Wouldn't be for my car, but my friends 525iT. Already got her a set of 540 rear calipers, carriers, and pads, getting the fronts to finish it off would be good.

Yes - this is front calipers, carriers, brake pads, rotors, and even front struts, if you'd like? Just need to add your springs.
