Does anyone know or have experience with any particular high flow/performance oil pumps?

for bmws? i don't think they exist for most models, generally not needed either as these things were built with high speed running in mind, m20s are pretty much bullet proof on oiling except for hard left turns in racing, m30s occasionally have a relief valve problem bleeding off pressure and the check valve in the canister on b35s can let the oil drain out of the filter causing a 5-10 second wait for the light to go out, plus they have the same left turn racing problem (pressurized resevior like a accusump or a good baffle will solve this on either motor) the oil pump falls off of the v8s, the bolts back out and the pump falls off, m50s are pretty solid, sometimes it's possible for the gasket where the pick up meets the pump to crack and suck air (atleast that's one of the suggested causes for lifter tick)

Winfred, when you talk about a "good baffle" are you talking about crank scrapers, like I have shown in the links?

What is the best one to purchase? I quickly found these using google;

http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14468 for the m30b35.

a scraper would get the job done, or you could build something, all it needs is something to keep the oil from walking up the side of the pan and block in a hard turn (not really something encountered outside of track racing), a scraper would have the added benefit of freeing up a few hp by squashing windage and sending it back into the pan
