You have ,I think, the wheel with a black plastic ring behind it.Can be a bit of a bugger to lubricate. Take the wheel off, having let the capacitors run down, and carefully clean and lub it,voila.

.... wheel makes light metallic grinding (light metallic grinding again, to be techinically very precise.... ;) )
did it last winter too...
can i just spray electrical contact cleaner and lube...? my guess is there's just dirt or something on the metal contact ring for the airbag... but that's a guess... any help?
(add that to the long list of nitnoy interior things that annoy me right now).
cheers & thanks.

clockspring
electrical contacts for horn, airbag, etc.
take the steering wheel off and apply small amount of grease to contact area.
not sure if this can be done without removing the wheel.

just want to make sure i got the right stuff on hand...
so if this thing has contact areas it's for 'lectric to get into the horn, directionals, etc... so then electrical contact cleaner and lube is what I want?
thank you again.
