Does anybody has a link or any guide in replacing Idler/hydraulic belt tensioner on a 2000 528i E39. To eliminate and guess work or doing more
damage than fixing it. I'll be working on her this weekend, any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I made a U-strap to compress one on an e36 325i, don't know if it would work for yours:

That's a smart one, thanks gale! If anybody has a step by step procedure from removing the fan to...etc. I know it's simple logic by looking at it but just being precautious of wrong/ unncessary procedure.
