hey all...
in a quest for power, i did a search in here and couldnt find much. ive got a 95 with almost 200 thousand miles, and im in no mood to get rid of her. the interior and exterior are spotless, so anything other than upgrading the drivetrain would be a travesty!
im looking for a little more oomph than the standard chip/exhaust combo. ive got 3 other force fed vehicles (a roots blown truck, a turbo diesel 4x4, and a centrifugal 64 mustang) so what id REALLY like to do is turbocharge. i know the M50 isnt the most boost friendly option, but am willing to do whats needed in order to get there. i even have another M50 short block in the garage with only 60,000 on it.
the closest info i could find on the net is a guy who built a shortblock to factory specs (keeping cost down) but had a set of custom made rods shorter to bring down the compression. are there any other suggestions from the gurus on how to make a boost friendly motor, something more like ~9:1 compression???
