It's getting brisk and I forgot the headaches last year when it gets chilly and the trunk lock freezes up. Nothing else goes wrong and it works perfectly
the rest of the year. Need to switch out for a new lock? I'd rather not.

I have the same problem, i've heard taking it out and taking everything apart and rebuilding it will fix the problem, some seal letting moisture in (and then it freezes) someone else on here might have more specific suggestions as I haven't done this myself

i wrote it earlier...a LOT of WD40, and the thing works as good as new for me!
Silicon lubricant. All the doors and hinges... and the gas pedal. No more freezes and squeaks!

x1. + few drops of wd40 or duck oil for good measure. If its got oil in it, its not going to freeze:D
WD40 isn't good for locks. Gums them up over time.

i honestly don't have that problem with wd40....perhaps i had some luck :D
Qube's right. WD40 is great to clean them out but after cleaning use some brake cleaner to dry things out then lube with with graphite powder.
