Those are beautiful pieces.

I'd guess they are special order Wiseco pistons for a 3.3270" bore with a 1.2430" compression height, 20cc dished tops and billet KI H-beam rods that have barely perceptable parting lines.

Am I close?

eagle still sucks in high power applications where you wont be but at least check the ends for size and roundness before bolting it together. as of last year they were far off and taking them to the diamond level cost much more than getting good parts. I dont even want to know the brand pistons or crank... I'm not just giving you a hard time cause your a dick im giving an an oppinion to maybe help you avoid a major catastrophe in the future incase you actually make power which i doubt. Happy new years Jon!

Ross - the end caps are there, the machining is so fine you cannot tell, I will take a close up for you, still prob can't tell.

Jeff - I think Eagle has come a long way. You should get out of the fox hole and try them again ;) Some of the fasted 1000+ whp supras are running this combination of brands.

Everyone has their opinion on brands/etc and its always that Eagle/Crower suck and Arrow/Carrillo rule. I'll have you know, some of my engineer buddies happen to know where Carrillo rods are forged. They also know where Eagle rods are forged...

But yeah he, and thus I, wouldn't know anything about horsepower ;)

I am running 250 hp direct port nitrous, 35 psi, and 2.9L bored and stroked @ 8000 rpm up top through a 4 and 4.5" exhaust full custom T4 manifold. This of course with 100% direct port methanol injection to boot.

You know that JE used to be good too, right? Yeah today, with all the other options, JE pistons SUCK. Super thin piston faces... does that mean I go in and bash all the old heads running them in their 427s? No, they used to be a good product.

I also think it somewhat comical that everyone assumes I am 22 so I don't know wtf I am doing. I have some of the greatest help in the world!

Ok, I don't have the 5" or 35psi boost yet but it's commin', along with the juice w/attitude comp. :) I think it has mid 20psi boost stock...

But seriously, still have the BMW garaged but bought a new (used) work truck with the Cummins diesel. There's a lot of simple mods you can do to these things to make big power. But 500 ft/lbs of torque stock ain't too shabby..

That's sweet. Yeah, with linux there a certain amount of searching, installing, tweaking you need to do. It's a chore. I'm sure you know what I mean. It's worth it though.

I've been wanting to check out those 3D desktops but am waiting to build up another linux system just for that. Isn't KDE 4(?) coming out with a 3D desktop that's suppose to be nice?

But my linux server running everything I mentioned is a headless server running on a 450Mhz AMD. Heheh. I just connect to it through SSH to do any maintenance. I had Ubuntu running Freevo for my living room media PC for a while.. gotta build up another linux pc and try compiz, or KDE4...

Have you tried Crysis? Im not much of a gamer anymore but I had to try it out. I don't like game personally, but it brought my quad core system down to its knees. The bottleneck is probably my now dated geforce 7900.

Im surprised your having trouble with it, with your hardware. Did you play it on ubuntu or vista?

Games dont run as fast on ubuntu because the drivers are not as well optimized yet.

Games also run much slower on vista. Last I checked people had about 30% less framerate on vista then xp.

It was playable on my system, but I was really hoping for it to be smoother. It was about 24 FPS.
