Hi All,
I'm looking for some info or pointers before I tackle this job.
Is there a writen procedure for replacing the power steering hoses on a '95 540? I searched the forum, but all I found was that the job is a real PITA. And, the Bently manual I have doesn't address the replacement.
Thanks,
Johnf

I do not have a special on the 540. On my E32 750 I had to remove some parts in engine room on driver side above the subecjt and then used a 40 cm long extension with wobble connection, worked fine.
Do not tighten the banjo bolts too tight, they easily break.

I believe I have all the tools required for the job. If it looks other than straight forward, I'll take some pics and create a how-to.
I think the Bentley manual has the proper torque values, but little else. I'll review those when reassembling.
Thanks,

is the procedures the same for M60 engine? I doubt it. I was going to do mine. But I decided to have the my mechanic do it instead. He mentioned that he will have to loosen the engine mount and jack up engine a bit on the left side to change the high pressue host.
