5 series rear speakers

hi, im new to this site ,can any one tell me are the rear speakers in a 94 530i uk spec the same as a 3 series , the reason for asking is i want to fit 6x9,s in where the original speakers are but i dont want to cut anything , i saw adaptor mount plates to make 6x9,s fit straight in , but they were for 3 series , i havent seen any adaptors for the 5 series have anyone come across any thanks ,or any ideas?

havnt seen 6x9's in e34 in the 8 years i was an installer. Doesn't mean it cannot be done with some modification or custom mounting plates. i'm sure someone has done it before.

I'm pretty sure that BMWe34.net says you have to cut the bowls out to fit 6x9's. Adapters would be nice... I'm surprised nobody makes any.
