? i just upgraded to xp pro on my home machine and wmp 11 is pissing me off, i have xp home on my laptop and that was a pisser to get working when i finally got it going the bitch played upside down, found a converter to fix that but i don't want to go that route

is k-lite media codec pack the one that is screwing up? that is the pack that is par for the course for fixing codec type problems.

yay that one works, it even plays right side up :D you'd think microsoft would supply a ****ing functioning player when it loads a newer version during updates

now all that you have to do is update/reinstall the most current version, every 3-6 months, depending on how much questionable stuff you might view :D

vlc rocks... it's what i have to use on the mac to view most anything, including windows media files

i meant more "illegal" than pornographic--as compressing technology becomes more complex with time, you find that maybe you can't get your (cough) legitimate movie screeners to play without being jerky. k-lite seems to reliably fix such things, at least for me.
