I posted potential custom group buy thread for a light weight track wheel along with an 18" mesh wheel back in October I believe. The thread originated on s14.net. These wheels were being made in e46/e36 fitments at the time, and I was trying to get it done in a 5 series/e30 m3 fitment (et20 range)

After talking with the developers they ended up going ahead and developing a 5/7 series fitment after all :D They aren't out on the market yet, They will be available in a little less then 3 weeks.

They are made by D-force who's well known for making 16.6lbs forged 17x9 track wheels for BMW's. These wheels look like Beyern Mesh wheels but have a forged barrel which makes them very light.

I'm looking for other people who are interested in these wheels. If we can get a few people together then I can get us FREE SHIPPING on a set which should save us $70-100.

A lot of wheels are like that for our cars. if we want m-parallels or style 5's that come off an e39 we have to use the rings. it's a comprimise thats been made. owning an e34 you have to know that companies don't look at us as their primary consumer base for these kinds of products any more.

you are quite right...that way they have all options covered...

I understand. but if you have to create 300 of a wheel, your a small business, the majority of the customers will be e39 owners (at that offset/size) then there is no adapter to go from 72.5 to 74.1

What other choices are there?
