I was thinking if getting a 91 M5 with alot of miles like arround 200k but in good condition and get the engine rebuilt, is that worth it. Or is it better to get one with less miles for more $$$. And how much am i looking to rebuild an M engine? Or should i just stick with a 95 M3 with 80k miles.

I don't know about the 3.6L, but for my 3,8L I see $16,000 quoted as the price of a enigne rebuild.
Needless to say, I am dilligant about engine maintance and never revving over 3500 RPM until the engine is fully warmed up.

Just stick with the M3. It is cheaper to rebuild the engine and there are more engines available if you need one. On the low end, a 3.6L rebuild from a reputable mechanic is around $8-10,000.

Matt is right, rebuilding a 3.6L will cost 13-15K. I think 200K is getting up there; knowing the service history and personality of PO is paramount. You must get compression and leakdown tests with that kind of mileage.
as with other e34's, suspensions, especially rear SLS may need lots of work.
be careful. without seeing either car, I'd suggest checking out the 80K one first.

If you really want a M5, look for one with lower miles.
