525 TDS Aut. Engines stops when idle

Hello!,

I have a 525 TDS automatic from 1993, and I'm having various problems with the engine :(

I'm having problems to start engine when hot, in cold its start perfectly, but when it is hot... arf!, need 5/10 seconds to start and various retries.

The other problem its very rare, I'm driving, and when goes to a stop signal (or I'm driving and quit the accel pedal), when engine revs goes to idle (700/800rpm), engine dies.

Common Range-Rover problem(same engine). Relates to filter head an/or temp sensor,watch pipe from filter to pump to see if air in system,take off filter change or drain if you`re broke. Fill up with conditioner and screw on(wet rubber first) give it a good tweak. Fire up engine and rev hard til system full. If problem persists change the filter head, cheap.If you look after the engine it will last for ever, if you bought it cheap with no history brace yourself!
