The E34 has been a little clunky lately. Turned out to be what I suspected all along......the rear shock mounts. I installed new ones at the same time I installed my sachs kit, approximately 22 months and 35k miles ago.

I replaced what I suspect to be Meyle mounts (can't remember back that far) with Febi/Bilstein ones from BMA. We'll see how these do. I took the opportunity to raise the rear spring perch on the body of the shock to the high setting....in my opinion the car sits a bit better and a few more mm of travel on the Chicago streets is welcomed.
Bill R.....save it re: the rust :p
