procured in digital form from the typical place that you might be able to get digital copies of "books" or "documents" from for "free". if you can't infer what i mean, that you probably weren't going to make use of this method to begin with. many of these manuals are for older transmissions (4l80 and such), but it is still a nice thing to have on hand. the set of manuals i got had a GM 4l30e in it, so i have both a paper copy of the atsg book as well as a digitized pdf. don't expect to find a manual for a zf 9 speed &c. &c for an e169 bmw, but if i were sitting and waiting for a paper copy of a manual to arrive in the mail, i'd "get" the collection and see if i get lucky while i wait.
