Man, that 900+ miles was a hoot / bitch. Nice to average 27 MPG at about 85 all the way, though. :D I'll post some pics later. For now I have one eensy problem:

Lock sync!!

Holy crap!

First of all, I can't turn the key to 110 degrees to save my life. There's 0 position, left about 35 degrees (to lock, towards the rear of the car) and right about 35 degrees (to unlock, towards the front.) What am I doing wrong here?? My other '95 is the same way.

Thanks in advance.

so lets get this straight..
the locks are all good as long as you use the key or if you actuate the drivers pin from inside the car??
if you use the remote(bmw or after market?) the doors lock(the drivers door pin doesnt move) and because the drivers pin is up (ie unlock) the rest of the car unlocks?

Jeez, c'mon guys, nothing? I've searched the site and haven't found anything that explains why Bentley is so far off on this one (ie, my car not having the "emergency lock" position that others have noted but not explained.

I managed to get all 4 locks moving in the same direction at the same time as long as I do it manually (from inside the car or using the key in the lock) Wireless transmitter leaves the driver's side unlocked, the other three lock temporarily, then bounce back up. I don't get it.

Little help?

It's getting darn impossible to follow any threads the way this board's clock is shuffling the post. I can't tell what you're trying to do but on the later cars the lock override is on the passenger's door. Are you trying it on the right side? It sounds like you may have a bad actuator on the driver's door which is overriding the lock command.
