I recently ordered this piece from Bav auto. (Should be here thurs!)I was wondering if anyone ever replaced this and how would I go about doing so? I recently got into a fender bender and now it's all smashed up and shredded.

Also, my OBC has been giving off a "brake linings" message. I checked the pads and they were fine. What could it be?

That's it for now.

The brake lining message probably means the sensor has worn out. There's two of them on the car, I belive, one for the fronts and one for the rears. I think the sensor works by 'rubbing' against the rotor with the pads and will wear down along with the pads. Once they have worn out enough the sensor activates...or de-activates sending the 'brake linings' message. But if your pads are fine then nothing serious. May just mean the pads were replaced but not the sensor/s.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Can't answer your other question because the link won't open for me.:(

pop them on to the clips.

pad sensor fubared or a break in the wire usually where it goes through the driver front fender.

To replace the bumper impact strips prise out the old ones from the front centre and then slide forward, this will release the wrap around sides. Installation is the reverse.

I guess I am saying get your head around it on the old broken ones first.
