Looks like it gets the job done! (and really well!)
Why purple clamps? Not bashing, just curious!

Brilliance. Sheer brilliance... I guess the purple isn't the highlight of the engine.

you aren't worried about engine motion cracking the piping??
I would have expected you to use a bellows coupler to allow some motion as the engine moves.
I was just thinking that, unless Jon is using solid motor mounts, that engine's gonna shift something awful on spool-up...
Unless there's some flex in it there that I'm missing?

Why would I use wiggins clamps and then put a coupler in the middle?
Have you used a wiggins clamp? There are not rigid. They both twist and deflect. The whole point to using wiggins clamps is to have a very sturdy, leak-proof charge pipe.

And look at any car with Wiggins clamps:

They're used on aircraft for their ability to flex and hold an insane amount of pressure without leaking. They are used for air, fuel, water, etc.
AngryPopTart - they are from aircraft, not used on vehicles in the OEM.

Looks like an anodized version of the clamps they use on grading equipment/tractors/semi's.

do you plan on polishing the pipes, or coating them, or something to make them look a little more clean?

Safety wire? I don't think the Adel Wiggisn use a safety wire - the Accufab style do... These pupppies ain't gonna go no where with this crazy latch system!
