My bet is DAS will be the cheapest after you shop around. Google car transport.

They have a wide network. Had my 525i shipped from San Diego back to the east coast when my son left his job to come back to work in New York in December.

Correct. What make them cheap (or competitive) is your insurance covers the damage should it occurs.

I'm getting ready to relocate from Southern Illinois to Wichita, KS and need to find a reliable shipper. They've got to be well insured/bonded, and be able to take the 540i and Merkur XR4Ti in one load. Also, it can't be one of those on/off at different stops along the way type deals - The Merkur is way too much of a pain to offload without me there. Suggestions are welcome.

Might want to think twice before using DAS. I worked for them a number of years ago, and knowing what I do about them, I wouldn't use them personally. If you do use them, be sure to double and triple check what their insurance covers versus what yours does. Used to be, that they only covered $250 toward the deductible on YOUR insurance if there is a claim. From what I understand, that hasn't changed.
