Has anyone used this type of tension gauge before? It's listed as a Krikit v-belt tension gauge.

Napa has them for about $15.

Planning to change belts and tensioners on another vehicle (not the 5er) and wanted to tighten the belts as accurately as we can.

TIA

Doesn't BMW E34 has self-adjusting tension pulley? Beside, you can always test the belt tension by trusted old method of twisting it. You should be able to twist it enough but not so it goes passed half way (90 degrees).
