No affiliation, I just happened to see it on autotrader.
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=163833295&dealer_id=796461&car_year=1993&search_type=used&make=BMW&model=535I&transmission=MAN&distance=any&address=87111&only_price=1&advanced=y&certified=n&max_mileage=&max_price=&sort_type=mileage&min_price=1&end_year=1993&start_year=1989&drive=&engine=&body_style=&advcd_on=y&doors=&fuel=&=&color=&cardist=888
Do any of you check autotrader even though you're not in the market for a car, or do I have some sort of problem?

Unless this car is from some country other than the US of A, I believe there is some sort of mistake since in 1993 BMW didn't make a 535i but only a 530i (small V8) and 540i (larger V8).

Although unlike you, I did not just buy my second E34. Does your therapist know about this obsession?
I am actually getting excited about the E30 this week, with practically no hope of having one anytime soon.
But Mr. Simms (I presume Mr.), you are a year off. One can find the rare '93 535 in the U.S. (there's another one owned by a friend of a poster here), but you will not find a '93 530 or 540. I bet you could buy a 530 or 540 in the fall of 1993, but that's splitting more hairs still and we Bimmerheads like to stick to gross generalizations. None of them pesky details.

Looks nice. I thought '93 was the last year, 530 and 540 started in '94. and yes, I check Autotrader for local cars and current prices just for curiosity.

The local paper had an e30 325es, 160k miles, new 5-speed tranny for under $2k. I was this close (holds thumb and forefinger 1mm apart) to going to look at it, even though there's no way I could ever get it right now. I try to tell my wife that that's just what you do, get an e34 for going to work, and an e30 for the track. She doesn't buy it.

1993 last year for 535. 530-v8 1994 and 1995 only.
That is a great color and the last year made with fairly decent mileage.
