Question about Heated Seats

Is it difficult to change out my black vinyl seats in my E34 525 for the E34 540 seats with memory and heating pads? Are they interchangeable? Is there wiring in my car for this kind of upgrade?

In case of memory you will also need new rear view mirrors and the cable loom, as they are different, otherwise memory will not work on the mirrors.
