As part of my intake reseal / top end cleaning, I have taken my injectors off of the rail for cleaning. In the process I have learned a new term "pintle cap". It is the plastic piece at the tip of the injectors. Shown in the picture it is the orange piece.

When I was pulling the injectors from the intake manifold one of the caps broke off. Apparently these things are very brittle. No problem right, should be able to get a replacement... not exactly. After some serious digging, I did find something that may work, although it is not an exact replacement.

There was also a kit on ebay that looked similar for way less. I think it was 16 bucks for all of the grommets spacers and pintle caps for a V8. Im thinking I will give this a try rather than leaving my injector naked or buying a whole new one.
Just some information I thought would be useful. If anyone has experience with these parts please post.
