abs warning light, pad wear light

the pad-low warning light has been going on and off intermitley for sometime now, i visually checked the pads and they still have some life left inthem.

Also ever since i had the car the, sometimes on start up the abs light stays on and the car has no abs anymore, just normal brakes. to solve that i would just turn the ignition off and then on again...problem sorted!!

Now the abs light stays on all the time, i think its the relay??? does anyone know which relay it is and where it lives? (brakes are still good and sharp etc etc,but just without abs)

When I was in a hurry abroard, I changed the pads in a service area and put the old sensors back in but lost the little metal clip. The brakes were fine but the pad warning light came on which I ignored. Not long after the ABS light came on. When I finally replaced the sensor,popped the power off for a minute , re-connected and both the Pad and ABS lighs went off, all was well and has been ever since.Try that.
