525 TDS auto trans fluid

:D Hello everybody,
I have just got myself a 525 TDS touring with auto trans:)
Can anybody tell me what type of auto trans fluid is recomended and how do you check the level?
She changes gear nice and smoothly and hopefully nothing is wrong with the box. I just want to make sure that the levels are ok.

There is a plate on the (UK) offside of the gearbox. Exhaust hides it so use a mirror:) Make a note of ALL the numbers so you can be certain what box you have. Usually, if the plate is black with silver numbers, it will be Dexron III. If its green it will be Esso LT711141. You should find the filling procedure on here using search but if you cant, pm me and I'll be happy to list if for you
