Yes. A proper Torx socket. A regular socket will round off the bolt head and you'll be in for an afternoon of fun with drills and grinders.

a: take out the back seat of course! (and turf the passengers)
who needs a touring? :D
seriously though, these nuts are in there pretty good... should i be using something other than a regular socket?

Regular socket has always worked ok for me on the seats!

a: The trunk fits 3 dead people easy....Errr Only 2 if they don't fold up well (ie if they've been dead a while). You can get 2 adults and 1 child perhaps if u can fold them up neatly. If you take out the carpet and use the armory for extra space maybe you can get two across the back so perhaps 3 is possible.
They don't usually fold up very well, and if they are bleeding 'n stuff its hard making to turn the task into a fun engineering project...
Now, where is Fukem5 with one of his topical holiday snaps showing an e34 in the middle east, its trunk loaded with dead peasants... wasn't he down there (on safari in Brunei or something) recently? :D

You need to make sure they are fresh.... other wise they don't fold well at all...

You need to make sure they are fresh.... other wise they don't fold well at all... Yea, it is always a tough choice: Kill or Dig. Good body parts are worth so much these days, but freight costs are still a major factor!

Hmm, I went to the junkyard last week and saw some brilliant black e32 front seats. How does one move the seat forward enough to access the reverse torx bolt if there's no battery in the car? Any manual mechanism?
All the plastic bits will accept paint well if you prep 'em good. Go to an autobody supply and inquire. Marhide was a brand I used eons ago that worked well.
Improperly applied to an external Torx could perhaps be the only good use for a twelve point socket.

I know it's totally OT, but the thread title dredged up the memory...
I once proved that it was possible to fit 5 people in a DeLorean (and then drive 30 miles).
Ahhh.. the crazy days of my youth.
