I had to replace the wiring harness on my 530im and in doing so I hooked up the wires incorrectly to the positive terminal block on the firewall. When I connected the battery problem was immediately apparent. The starter motor spun extremely fast(with the solenoid engaging) and I fried my newish $500 wiring harness.
Does anyone know EXACTLY where the wires go on the block. I assume that certain parts of the positive terminal posts are hot under certain conditions(key off, key on, etc.) I really cannot afford to purchase another harness right now and I really need to get my car back together. Thanks in advance for any help.
If anyone has a link or info that would greatly be appreciated!!
