Glass radiator hose!? Visually ... wow, but seriously, he's gonna look kinda funny when that electrical tape lets go around the ends :D

The filter is a good idea. I don't know why one doesn't have one. Just thinking of the E34 (and I guess others) 'pisser' line getting clogged.
Glass pipe? That's pointless.

I like the filter idea!! If its really good and effective, why don't car manufacturers design one as a standard? Instead of having it as an after market thing..

I like the filter too, though it would be even better if you could clean the gauze without completely refilling the coolant system. That would be a real timesaver.

You can do that. Maybe a tea steel filter or something like that fits into the coolant expansion tank, position must be below the return hose from the radiator.

Just remove it sometimes and clean it, done.
