I am asking his for EEk28 from Germany, he wants to add some function to his EURO version remote:

Hi @ all!
Does anyone know how to activate the "panic mode" on the IR remote (original equipped)? Car is an E34 525, PD 01/1995.
The remote has two buttons. I think it should be the "open" button, or not?
Thanks in advance ....

BTW: what actually happens when I activate a "panic mode", have never seen one here in "the land of the rising sun".
Is this the key to which he refers? From my recollection i have only seen it activate the interior illumination when pressed.
I'll go get my Owners' manual and see what it says... i seem to recall something about Valet Service but i may be getting mixed up..http://home.comcast.net/~cpkver8/images/keyfob.jpg

What you need is new rubber ;)

If that does not fit, wait till he also offers the ones for E32/E34.
Many people in Germany already bought from that guy from Poland.
It looks like it should fit... I hope nobody accuses me of being crazy again..lol..

o.k., as I just got a PM by somebody how to ask in German to the seller in Poland:
I know his German is also not that good, but at least he can communicate. So keep it simple and short, no abbreviations, no slang ;)
In German how to ask him for the price in US$ for 1 set including shipping by airmail, he usually sends it just in an envelope.
Was kostet 1 Satz Gummi-Tastenfeld fuer Funkfernbedienung key bmw e38 e39 in U.S. Dollar ($) inklusive Versand per Luftpost nach USA?
But you can also ask in simple English, he understands a minimum.
To ask click in the auction on the right hand side
Frage an den Verkäufer = questions to seller
E-Mail an Verkäufer senden = send email to seller
For shipping to Germany he is asking for 3 EURO.
Just for your info: usually the auctions end between 8-12 EURO, unless a crazy guy offers more. But he has plenty.
1 EURO = US$ 1.60

this might be an alternative, some guys from the German E38 Forum bought these from Taiwan, but abt. $70
