Anyone know where the trunk is open sensor is?

Does it show up on the check control? Is it not the button on the lip of the trunk which turns on the trunk light?

....but wish there was 'casue it killed my battery once....leaving the trunk cracked and the light was on...

I thought it was in the latch...
I can tell you there is no 'sensor button' on th Touring, (or on any of the other doors that i recall??) so why there would be one on the sedan trunk idunno. Much easier to integrate it with the latch since power etc is already there.

Yes it shows up intermittently on the check control display. But I don't know where the switch is? I have the BMW series 5 electrical trouble shooting manual and they have a picture of it somewhere in the trunk lid but the picture is so bad it is hard to tell exactly where and what it looks like.
